**Follow the instructions below to successfully resolve this error:**

1. **Close** CrossLink 1040.
2. **Download** the package <u><span style="color: #1f73b7">[Microsoft VC++ 2010 Redistributable x86](https://www.crosslinktax.com/crosslink/software/vcredist_x86.exe)</span></u> and install.
3. **Login** to CrossLink 1040 and retry.
