> ℹ️ Each login has its own Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) settings and runs independently from other logins.  This article will demonstrate how to enable/disable the MFA setting in CrossLink 1040, once the user has logged in.

> 📝 This MFA setting is not available in prior versions to CrossLink 2022.

**Follow the instructions below to successfully enable/disable MFA:**

1.** Login** to CrossLink 1040.

2. Click **Utilities** > **User Preferences**.

3. Click **MFA**.

4. Enter the Password for the **current Login**.

5. Enable/disable MFA by entering a checkmark for **Opt into Multi Factor Authentication **and click** Ok.**
