> ℹ️ Within a return, all data entry fields have unique corresponding Field Codes. Field Codes are then used in Crosslink 1040, to designate which data entry fields will be locked from data entry.

 

**Complete the following to successfully export the restricted field codes from CrossLink 1040:**

1. Click **Setup**.

2. Click **Restricted Forms/Field**.

3. Select the **Restricted Fields** tab.

4. Click **Export**.  
5. Designate a location, enter a **File name** and **Save** the text file.
