> ℹ️ This article demonstrates how to **manually** add additional ZIP codes to the ZIP Code database, if needed.

> 📝 CrossLink 1040 will automatically save new zip codes to the database upon verifying a return.

**Follow the instructions below to manually add custom ZIP codes to the ZIP code database:**

1. Log in to CrossLink 1040 with **Admin Rights**.
2. Click **Database **> **Cities/ZIP Codes**.
3. Type the **ZIP code** to be added in the **ZIP Code** field.
4. Click **Add** to open the **City / State / ZIP** window.
5. Complete the information on this screen and click **Save** to save the changes.

> ✅ The new ZIP code will now be in the program's ZIP Code Database.
