> ℹ️ You can capture in-office signatures for an ERO, preparer, or taxpayer by using two methods in CLO.  These two methods will be explained in this article.

**Follow the instructions below to successfully capture a signature:**

## **Method 1: Onscreen capture (touchscreen, or mouse)**

1.  Sign the requested signature in the area designated

2. Click **Accept**.

## ~~**Method 2: Signature pad capture**~~** (NO LONGER SUPPORTED)**

1. Click **Ready To Sign**.

2. Capture the signature using the signature pad.

3. Click** OK**.

> ⚠️ *The ERO and Preparer signature cannot be captured remotely via email or SMS text.*
